I finally was able to snag alexorellana.com, after what must have been a decade of waiting! I’ll probably updating that one slightly more than this one with new material. Although, if I get a new band, I’ll probably just end up recording said material and naming that band The Margins, so there ya go.

It’s been a while since I’ve had any updates, but I just finished making this really awesome video with some co-workers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clC9srevfMI
Basically, the engineers get to put together any Yelp-related project they want for two days per quarter, and one of them wanted to do a Yelp theme song. The idea was presented to me Tuesday afternoon, we wrote it on Tuesday/Wednesday, the song was finished being recorded by Friday at 1am, and the video was done Friday around 2pm. Not too shabby!

Hey everyone,
Thanks to everyone who saw us play at our house, we had an unbelievably amazing time! Sadly, (drummer) Alex is departing the Bay Area next weekend, so it looks like The Margins are going to be on a bit of a hiatus in the mean time. I already paid for 3 years of hosting on this domain, registered this band name on a ton of those fancy social networking sites, and am definitely not giving up my practice room in the TL, so I’m pretty confident I’ll be forced to pick all this stuff up again soon. Alex is off to show LA how it’s done, and he’ll definitely be missed by the people that live in the house and share the practice room with him, but the man has some dreams and he best go chase them the fuck down!
Thanks again, all of you loyal readers should be hearing from me again soon!

Thanks to everyone that came out to El Rio, it was a total blast. Everyone there heard a new song we’ve been working on for a while now, and I’m pretty confident in saying it’s the best one we’ve done so far. So we hope you liked it!
